The INDIA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL of BOSTON (IIFFB) is looking for creative, hardworking and responsible college students and recent grads (’18 – ’19) that have a strong interest in film, film festivals, film-related production, and event planning for the 2020 INDIA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL of BOSTON. The Festival brings together visionaries across industries and diverse audiences to celebrate the power of storytelling. A platform for independent filmmaking, creative expression, and immersive entertainment, IIFFB support emerging and established voices, discovers award-winning filmmakers, curates innovative and interactive experiences and introduces new technology and ideas through panels, premieres, exhibitions, and live performance.
Interns will be providing support with various administrative office duties and relevant projects. Such duties will include database entry, responding to general Festival inquiries, film and film industry research, in addition to any other office tasks as needed. Duties and responsibilities will increase as the 2020 Festival approaches. This internship is an incredible opportunity to be immersed in and gain knowledge of the world of independent film and the independent film industry. All interns MUST BE AVAILABLE to participate during the 2020 INDIA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL of BOSTON (to be held from September 18th to September 20th, 2020). This internship is slated to begin as soon a possible and last until the completion of the 2020 INDIA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL of BOSTON.
• Computer literate (e.g., MS Word, Excel & Google Docs)
• Internet-savvy and phone friendly
• Detail-oriented, dedicated and energetic
• Possess strong organizational and communications skills
• Demonstrate good interpersonal skills
• Have strong knowledge regarding general office duties
HOURS Prior to the start of the Festival interns must be able to intern a minimum of two days/16-20 hours per week. During the Festival interns should expect to work at least 30 to 40 hours a week.
